Korea Way is one block of 32nd Street stuffed with over a hundred Korean businesses, wedged into the old Garment District — Manhattan's answer, tourist-facing and glossy, tabletop grills and banchan you didn't order. Flushing is the real one: Union Street and Northern Boulevard, where the crowd skews Korean, not visiting, and the food skews home-style — juk, gimbap, stews nobody photographs. Harry ignores the grill theatrics entirely. He wants doenjang jjigae fermented for months, not days, and panchan refilled without having to ask twice.
