Grant Avenue is pagoda roofs and dragon gates for tourists; the real eating happens a block over on Stockton, and again out on Clement Street in the Richmond, the so-called New Chinatown, where overflow from the original settled in starting in the 1950s and the food holds up better than the postcard version downtown.
